Eidos
in Latin America
Eidos Interactive Ltd, part of the SCi Entertainment group
and one of the greatest game publishers in the world,
started its activities with mobile games in 2004. In 2006
a decision to expand even more its distribution channels
was taken. With a good gaming market knowledge, Eidos
chose Samba as the best solution to distribute its content
in Latin America. Recently, Samba already distributes
Eidos’ games in 26 Latin American channels,with
Movistar, Entel, Claro, Tim and Oi amongst them and in
10 countries more . Sooner, 10 more channels will be enabling
Eidos games for download, summing a total of 36 channels.
Besides reaching a wide net of distribution channels,
Samba Tech also promoted marketing actions, like cultural
promotions and contests with the participation of users,
obtaining excellent results. For example, in an action
made together with Movistar, Tomb Raider downloads increased
700% during the promotion time.
